Multi Adventure Week
August 8 - 12, 2011

We will be traveling to Fayetteville, West Virginia for a week of tent camping with our sister company ACE. Campers will challenge themselves with Class I-IV rapids while rafting on the New River and enjoy the breath-taking views of the famous New River Gorge Bridge. They’ll have an opportunity to brave the Upper Gauley River in duckies and soar through the air on the Zipline Canopy Tour. Campers will also experience all the inflatable fun the lake at ACE has to offer. 

The price includes all meals, transportation from River Riders to ACE and back, and all the adventures listed! Campers must be ages 12-17 and be ready for some fun.

Activity Feature:
Duckies -  Inflatable Kayaks

 Join in on the fun of navigating the river in your own duckie. A duckie is a sit on top inflatable kayak. This type of kayak makes learning boating skills fun for all ages and abilities.  Campers will enjoy learning how to work with their paddle and maneuver their boat around obstacles and through white water as well as the solitude of floating along on the Flat Water. Opportunities for Flat Water and White Water Kayaking are available each week of camp to challenge your new paddling skills.

We saved a good one for last, Adventure Days (Session 11) August 16,17,18. This 3 day week ends the 2011 season of Outdoor Adventure Camp with a bang!
Tuesday features the thrills of the Zipline Canopy Tour in the morning followed by an afternoon of camper's choice activities in the water. Wednesday is all about Tubing! FlatWater lazy river enjoyment in the morning followed by WhiteWater excitement in the afternoon. Thursday ends the week with all day Rafting and our Famous Pizza Party!!

Zip Line Canopy Tour

Our newest and most thrilling addition to the Outdoor Adventure Camp is the inclusion of the Zipline Canopy Tour above our Harpers Ferry Campground. On the Zipline, you will feel the wind in your hair and enjoy beautiful, one-of-a-kind views of the Potomac River.  The zipline has many different elements to it to give you the ultimate rush.  The campers who have attended Outdoor Adventure Camp so far this summer have had a blast zipping through the forest!
