Overnight Adventure Weeks |
Description:
The Overnight Adventure week incorporates an historical educational theme into all of the activities offered at River Riders, including white water rafting, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, biking and hiking! Campers will engage in fun filled activities focused on history while enjoying the excitement of the Harpers Ferry area. This summer you camper will take pleasure in all of our sunsational activities and accumulate a base of knowledge about earth related topics. The camp offers campers the opportunity to participate in all of the activities that we offer at River Riders and spend the nights at the cabins at the nearby FLOC Outdoor Education Center- Evening activities will include nightly campfires, smores, and Frisbee to start. Breakfast and dinner will be prepared at FLOC and lunch will be served at River Riders each day. Minimum age is 9 years. Grades 4-11.The schedule for the week is as follows: Monday: ![]() morning Harpers Ferry Hiking tour afternoon White Water Rafting Tuesday: morning Flat Water Tubing afternoon White Water Tubing Wednesday: morning Flat Water Kayaking afternoon White Water Kayaking Thursday: morning C&O Canal Biking tour afternoon Canoeing Friday: all day Shenandoah White Water Rafting Theme Description: History:is the study of the past. Campers were learn about the vast amount of history that has happened right here in Harpers Ferry including the buildings and businesses during the industrial revolution, Shenandoah City, the C & O Canal, and the abolitionist John Brown. |

| Times: Drop off is from 8-9 am on Monday and pick up is from 4:30-5:30 pm on Friday unless other arrangements are made. |

| Liability Waiver: Liability Waivers must be read and completed for each camper. |
| Notes: Campers will be divided according to age and ability levels for activities. Staff members trained in each specific activity will accompany campers. Minimum age of 9. |
