Teen Adventure Days with River Riders

If your teen is tired of the city life, rejuvenate them with an unforgettable outdoor experience in Harpers Ferry, WV! White water rafting, kayaking, tubing, and zip line adventures will provide beginner to intermediate excitement for any teen in need of an invigorating change of pace! Each activity is facilitated by River Riders’ highly trained guides, who make it their goal to share their experience and passion for adventure with your teen. Throughout the summer single day, multi-day, and overnight activities will provide adolescents’ with lifelong memories, as well as transportation from Chinquapin Recreation Center! All overnight adventures include rustic, riverside camping, and fireside fun. Single and multi-day activities also include lunch. Overnights include all meals. (Some activities have minimum age requirements, please see activity descriptions for details.)

Single Day Program Dates & Activities:

Flat Water or White Water Tubing

Shenandoah White Water Rafting or Kayaking

This session includes exciting white water rafting or kayaking where teens are able to paddle class I-III (beginner to intermediate level) rapids. Teens will increase their confidence by learning new water skills and will create memories with their peers that will last a life time.

*Day program - campers return to Alexandria each evening.

Multi-Day Program Dates & Activities:

Overnight Week at River Riders with Rafting, Tubing, and Zipline

Price: $499

August 6 - 10

Overnight week in Fayettville, WV with Rafting on the New and the Gauley Rivers

Price: $689

*Tents, sleeping gear, and toiletries are your responsibility for overnight programs.
 

All trips incorporate beginner to intermediate level activities, include lunch, and are lead by certified guides. Shuttle departs from Chinquapin Park Recreation Center in Alexandria at 8 am. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure and arrival. River Riders reserves the right to change any activity, location, or date in order to provide your child with the best experience possible.

Shuttle to and from Chinquapin Park, an adventure each day, all equipment, guides, and lunch!

Children need to bring as appropriate:
swim suits, river shoes, towels, and a change of clothes. Teens with special needs (including diets) please notify staff before camp begins. Individuals with special needs diets may need to bring their own lunch. $20 extra charge for non-Alexandria residents.

To register your child for Outdoor Adventure For Teens, please print out the Liability Waivers and Medical form. We also need a copy (front & back) of the medical insurance card. Once you reserve online, you can either mail or fax this information to us.
